Information regarding staffing requirements

Post : Outreach Worker (ORW)

This national H. i. 26 Outreach Workers (ORWs) are required for Palpa, Gulmi, Arghakhanchi, Pyuthan and Rolpa districts under the Migrant Program, which is being operated by the HIV and AIDS Federation with the financial support of UNDP/Global Fund. Within 7 days from the date of publication of the notice, from Nepali citizens who are qualified and willing to work in the community, please send an application, biodata, copy of Nepali citizenship, work experience certificate to the email address mentioned below within 7 days from the date of publication. Applications along with copies of transcripts and academic certificates are invited within office hours (5 PM).

Roles and Responsibilities:

Preventing HIV among immigrants and other at-risk communities, initiating and testing for blood tests, helping the infected to create a comfortable environment for treatment, helping with medication regularity, providing necessary education and support, sending and coordinating for other services, providing counseling and emotional support.

Required Qualifications:

  • CMA, ANM, HA, SN with 1 year working experience in the related field.
  • In case of immigrants or people from HIV-infected communities, 1 year experience in related field after studying class 10.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills (oral and written)
  • Able to work independently, able to work under deadlines and able to work as part of a team.
  • Capable of recording and reporting through a tablet/computer.
  • Able to coordinate and complete assigned work on time.
  • Preference for those who have good knowledge of local language and place.
  • Special priority to vulnerable groups or underrepresented backward, tribal, women working in HIV infected HIV.
